Shift of Paradigm - Focus on Higher Education, Innovation and Change

Knowledge is the most precious resource in the 21st century, success of our future generation in the North East depends on its ability to innovate and adapt to change. Our Education system plays the most vital role in that. We need to bring in new technologies, new courses and set up new departments in our colleges. We need to promote education and training initiatives to enhance our skills beyond our conventional education, including soft skills. We need to become knowledge sharing hub rather than only knowledge gaining society.
We can be at par international standards through higher education, research & development and managing our system in a more focused manner. And the focus should be on what the world needs and what our future needs from the world.

As per research, in the USA, Belgium and Spain almost one in four people aged 25-34 had a diploma from higher education in 2002. France and Ireland also had high scores. The Netherlands ranged in the middle, with 28 percent of the 25 to 34 year- old having completed some form of higher education.
In a small place like Helsinki in Finland, there was realization for Higher education just after independence and have shown tremendous growth in-terms of acquiring higher education and below figures are self explanatory and this why, where they are today.
Education has been seen as an important instrument of social ascent and personal development. The objective of education policy should be to guide the change of the educational system to respond to the needs of a changing society.

The continuously improving level of education will contribute to the rise in the productivity of labour and, consequently, rapid economic and social development.

Therefore our Education system has to be distinctively contributing to higher education to our students and engage in further studies. There are mainly three ways for doing so-
In most of the Western countries and States, local Governments spend nearly 15% of their budget for education and specially for higher education.

We are sure we will also focus on higher education and develop our Region and progress further.
