Mission Statement - NE Career Guidance

The very thought of the word “CAREER”, brings in a rush of thoughts into our mind. Most of us begin with just a job, then on the run realize, it is too late for a change, here begins the episode of repentance and emergence of new ideas which were not flashing at that point in time. Practically very few of us make the right choice at the beginning and cheerfully cruise the professional span of life with flying colors and no regrets.  Choosing the right career is like the quote – “Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.”

Thinking on the similar lines we introduced a much awaited service for the people of North East India, and named it “NE Career Guidance”.  It was in December 2009, when this aspiring thought was sculpted into a definite shape with a lot of who’s who of the corporate India equally providing unique and innovative ideas.

Today’s General Scenario
Today youths across the country and in the state are lured by various institutes providing vocational training with an assurance of a JOB at the end of the course.  However, most of us fail to realize the difference between a “JOB” and a “CAREER” and easily get carried away, with the idea of a JOB Guarantee.
On the other hand we have a huge range of various placement agencies across the state that assist students/ professionals in their struggle to get a decent pay job. Here what matters the most is a long term goal, a plan to secure the future not just the present situation. For us we believe in giving you, what you would love doing it every single day of your life and yet you don’t get tired to continue for more. NE Career Guidance is about career and north east India.

Why NE Career Guidance?
NECG was born after rigorous research and on basis of facts, and one basic reason which motivated us to establish this process of unique MISSION is “Students of North East India do not lack talent and skills”, they need to be polished and the transition of skills should be in the right proportion, time and by the right kind of people. Thus the idea of “End-to- End Career Management” was introduced for the benefit of the students and prospective job seekers from this part of the world. WE are not just a recruitment firm, that meets clients, conducts interviews and shakes out of the contract. Our philosophy is to provide 360 degree counseling and upon mutual agreement conduct a tailor made training program by the employers. This approach is unique and is appreciated by our clientele. We ensure that our students get the best of the industry offers and the companies hiring our candidates double the inviting urge to meet us whenever there is a need.  This approach is scientifically designed and vigorously tested by various models of interests. Just to give you an insight we suggest our students to go through a test [designed by our international associate] that will provide precise information about you – your strength and gray areas, this will help us to device or suggest a focused program that will enhance the skills, which in other words is the “first step towards the professional goal”.  Today we have become a name to be reckoned with. Our associations and tie ups with various corporate houses of India, Institutions and regulatory bodies have not only boosted our confidence to penetrate into the most rural parts of North East India, but also to span across the entire country.

Analytical Facts
There are theories, facts presented by various regulatory bodies and organizations and individuals about the youths of north east India moving out of the state in quest of career and education opportunities. The irony is a major chunk of students move post or during graduation level in search of job opportunities.
Having said this, we leave it for you to decide, can’t we organize job/ career opportunities in this region. Is it difficult for us to develop the skills and encourage industrialization for adequate job opportunities for the skilled professionals?  Don’t we have a social responsibility as the sons of the soil to give our motherland what she’s been deprived off?

International organization Friends of Assam and Seven Sisters (FASS) has extended their help and support our mission of uniting the region. Friends of Assam & Seven Sisters (FASS) is a non-profit, non-Governmental organization, an international think-tank which is aimed at providing an inspirational energy and a motivating force for overall revival and development of the North-East India in all its spheres. FASS has its India HQ at Guwahati, Assam and International Headquarter at Texas, USA. FASS has International Directors in many countries across the globe. FASS has started an initiative NE Career Guidance to help reach out for the development of the entire North East Region. They have been kind enough to support for the cause.

NE Career Guidance also, work very closely with Xomidhan group of enthusiasts from Assam who have joined hands and heads to contribute to the development of our homeland who has expertise on Career Counseling. We have in our association Sakori.org that provides all jobs related information with regards to Assam and the North East of India at one place.

We have been extended support from various corners from various organizations including individuals.
